Primary Activities

The University Survey Committee will fulfill its charge by conducting these types of activities:

  1. Recommend policies related to surveys of university constituencies.
  2. Maintain a record of previously conducted surveys.
  3. Coordinate plans for future surveys and publish an annual calendar of survey activity across the university.
  4. Review plans for specific surveys and recommend content and process improvements.
  5. Broaden the scope of suggestions for local questions on national surveys administered by the university.
  6. Assess the effectiveness of surveys after they have been completed.
  7. Disseminate survey results via a website and through other appropriate means.
  8. Recommend policies and support practices that ensure the confidentiality of survey respondents’ information (storage, access, and disposal).
  9. Review and recommend survey software for the university to purchase; facilitate software training.
